Small businesses are incredibly prone to failure, however, and usually if you get an owner willing to sell to you their 1 million dollar in profit business for only 3 mil there is something deeply wrong with the organization. I would be careful about investing in somewhere that willing to sell a profitable organization for such a small amount of total capital (which would all be taxed away from them, anyways)
