The reason why laksa is eaten with a spoon only is because the best way to eat it is the gravy and noodles should be eaten together at one go. Chopsticks can’t do that.
As for the weather even though SG is in the tropics there’re cooler months and hotter months. Unfortunately you’ve come during the hotter months of April/May/June. The cooler months are Nov to March. The rest are kind of in-between.

“巴刹”係=街市……因为响你問新加坡人那裏有”街市”係無人明白嘅….你要問巴剎在那裏或 where is wet market…但名称叫”老巴刹”=荷李活廣場……名叫”荷李活”, 但並不在荷李活
