Not Thai related, but if you like curry pastries, there is an Indian grocery store in Mississauga that has very good large samosas for $1 each called Asian Food Center @ 1075 Ceremonial Dr, Mississauga. Ask for their fresh deep fried samosas 🙂

I’m sorry you had a not-so-good experience. Perhaps you may want to try Koh Lipe on McCaul Street. Their food is flavourful and they have a cute mango sticky rice dessert that you crack open with a spoon ! There is also Chiang Rai in Markham that Is very delicious and have many tasty and presentable options.

My husband and I went last night and it was not so bad. Highly recommend to try the dishes from regular menu and not the chief recommended one. However, you are right the dishes are either too sweet or too salty! Don’t try the dessert, they are way too sweet!
