I don’t speak Japanese, but I know enough Chinese to know what happened, here is my attempt to explain:

This video is about vocabuaries when writing in formal manner. Example given such as corporation, home, child, myself and gift.

It shows when Japanese refering to one self, it tend to use very humble word. While refering to the others, it use more florishing word.
For example: Corporation (会社)
In Kanji that apply to both Chinese and Japanese, 貴 indicates something is valuable. While 弊 means negative, or in this case, show self humble.
Or in the case of child 愚 means unintelligent (ie my silly son) while 様 is just your usual honorific suffix -sama (ie your dear child)
